We had booked both the wine tasting tour and the historical tour of Beaune on two consecutive days and Tracy contacted us ahead of time and suggested combining the two over two days, in other words some history and tastings on each of the two days. This proved ideal as we were learning the nuances of the Burgundy wine district and lunching and tasting on both days. Tracy is very knowledgeable on both the history of the district and the wine industry.

“Wonderful wine tour”

My husband and I were on our honeymoon in Burgundy, our hotel arranged for us to have a wine tour of the area through Burgundy by Request. It was the highlight of our trip! Our tour guide, Tracy Thurling, was wonderful! We visited the perfect number of wineries and enjoyed a lovely lunch. I definitely plan to call on Tracy next year when we return to the area.

Tracy was well-prepared, flexible, and delightful. She can ably guide tours for amateurs seeking an introduction to Bourgogne as well as sophisticated wine connoisseurs. She brought us to 3 vineyards of various locations and quality, and got us a taste of a grand cru at one of them. She offers local color and insight, including interesting perspectives on life and raising a family in this part of France. Despite the rain during our tour, we had a terrific time and learned a lot.

I booked a private Wine Tasting Tour around Beaune in Burgundy through XXXXX and was very pleased with the whole service, and especially with our guide, Tracy Thurling.

Tracy organised and conducted a thoroughly enjoyable private wine tasting tour for our small party of four. We were particularly impressed with her knowledge, enthusiasm and easy, clear communication skills (Tracy is a native English speaker, but fluent in French – especially vigneron-French); as well as the care she took to tailor the visits and tastings to our specific requirements. The booking agent tour can follow a standard itinerary, but we wanted to take advantage of our experts’ local knowledge, to get the most out of the day for our party.

As soon as I’d made the initial enquiry, Tracy got in touch via xxxxxx’ email, and asked the right questions to enable her to put together an itinerary to meet our needs. The day’s tour included big hitting villages and domaines, however, we were delighted with an introduction to less well known (and affordable!) wines and growers, as we'd requested.

We all found the new, air-conditioned people-carrier very comfortable – and were pleased that expert-driver Tracy negotiated the tiny village streets and vineyard roads on our behalf!

If you’re visiting Burgundy and seek an introduction to the wines and history of Burgundy, or already have knowledge, but find the prospect of seeking out independent wine growers yourself a little daunting, I firmly recommend Tracy’s services.
